Onboard - Day2

Day 2 – We arrived in Marina City Port, Penang at noon. Dad is here coz it’s his hometown and he will show us around before returning to KL. Such a darling isn’t he? As we did not have much time, we headed straight to Air Itam, where “the best asam laksa” is and where Kek Lok Si temple resides. When we are about to reach Air Itam, the view is scenic indeed, due to its close proximity to Bukit Bendera, the surroundings are hills.. in which you can see private houses perched sparsely among the hills. It would be kingly to have such a property! We gave Bukit Bendera a miss as the queue for the tram ride would take us some time. After Air Itam, we roamed the city streets nearer to Komtar, had some snacks and ais kacang and it was time to go back to the port. Short trip as we did not visit too many places, but going Kek Lok Si was worth it. I understand that the millions was spent on Kek Lok Si for its night light so anyone consider going to Penang should not miss Kek Lok Si as your night agenda.
As the beautiful sun sinks into the horizon, Virgo starts to sail to its next destination, Phuket.
